Hello! HI!
how are you today?
hello hello how are you today hello
hello I'm so excited to dance learn and
Play Welcome to learning with Miss
Michaela that's me
I am so lucky to have you as my learner
today are you ready to grow your brain
awesome well let's warm it up first
sometimes in order for our bodies to
calm down we have to move them first
let's get our wiggles out and warm up
our brains for a day full of learning
and growing
first let's sit on the floor and get out
our boat come sing and dance with me
row row row your boat gently down the
stream merrily merrily merrily merrily
life is but a dream row row row your
boat gently down the stream if you see a
crocodile don't forget to scream
let's become snakes
his his surround His surround the room
if you see a hissing snake don't forget
to
all right get on your hands and knees
and become a kitty cat
meow meow meow around meow around the
room if you see a meowing Kitty don't
forget to
stretch
stretch
now become a penguin
waddle waddle waddle around waddle
around the room if you see a waddling
penguin don't forget to wiggle it out
all right now become a great big
stomping dinosaurs
stomp stomp stomp around stomp around
the room if you see a stomping Dino
don't forget to
all right
[Music]
wow you did a great job moving like an
animal
let's stand up and spin like a tornado
this is good for our brain to learn and
develop balance and spatial awareness
put your hands out in front of you and
spin as fast as you can while looking at
a finger
spin spin spin around spin like a
tornado
get your brain all dizzy
now it's time to freeze
all right let's go the other way
spin spin spin around it's been like a
tornado
get your brain all dizzy
now it's time to breathe
awesome job I love dancing let's keep
learning are you ready for our phonics
lesson in today's lesson you're going to
learn the sounds of B and D the letters
b and d often get confused in our brain
when we are reading or spelling here is
a fun story and visualization strategy
that incorporates different parts of
your brain to help you remember
let's start with b b says
what does your mouth do when you say
very good the lips touch and you burst
out air and say like in the words body
Becky baby and belly
we are going to use all of these words
in our story for the letter and sound of
B
when I see a line first or I hear the
sound I am going to pretend that is a
body
let's draw the body of my friend Becky
Becky has a baby in her belly
now let's finish drawing my friend Becky
very good now we are going to focus on
the letter d d says
what does your mouth do when you say d
for d
yes the tip of your tongue goes behind
your teeth and says like in diaper and
Danny
for the letter D we are going to draw
that diaper first and how do we draw
that diaper we are actually going to
draw a magic C first so we're going to
draw a magic C to a d
and the line here represents Danny here
is the diaper on Danny
awesome job
so now when I see this crazy letter in
my reading or am asked to spell it I can
tell my brain to pause and check for the
body or the diaper
let's practice here are a bunch of B's
and D's can you find the ones with the
body first
nice job
wow that was a great brain workout good
job growing your brain today with
letters b and d
if you practice your sounds every day
you're going to be able to start
blending those sounds into words and you
should be able to read in no time
welcome to Story Time with Miss Michaela
today's story we're following a spunky
boy and his pup baklava they are going
to the farm in The Adventures of
baklavon Huck
once upon a time there was a Huxley
being he had the best dog anyone had
ever seen
one Sunny May baklavon Huck were having
a grand old day
Huck was playing pretend dressing up as
a King when he heard the phone ring
right when he saw the picture of who it
was he got oh so excited grandma Sue was
calling and they were just invited
to a very special place because there
are horses that Huck loves writing can
you guess where they're going based on
what I'm describing
it's where cows go move and chickens
walk around like they don't know what to
do horses Frolic and prance and kids
wait in the river doing their happy
dance
we are going to the
farm with the Big Red Barn there will be
animals to see and tractors to ride and
we get to spend the whole day outside
what is your favorite part of the farm
wow I love that part too
when Huck arrived at Grandma Sue's Huck
knew exactly what he wanted to do Huck
called for baklavon asked him to come
play ball with him in the field of
course that was his favorite game so he
obeyed and healed
just as they started to play they heard
a weird noise far away
whoa look up there look and see there is
a cat stuck in that 80-foot tree what do
we do who do we call maybe the fire
department will come through before the
cat will fall
Huck ran to his grandma and asked her to
call them quick and she did only to be
told no ma'am that is not something we
do but I know what will do the trick he
said call your local arborist in town
they should be able to help that poor
little kitten come down
an arborist is someone who works on
trees they would have the appropriate
equipment to help so let's go see
Grandma Huck and baklava found one that
was willing to come out when he arrived
he climbed up with ease and no doubt
he surely got that crazy cat she was
safe and sound but very tired at that
the end
can you help me count all of the farm
animals you see
one
two
three
four
[Music]
five
six
seven
eight
nine ten
wow that is spectacular you are a great
counter
which animal is bigger a chicken or a
horse
you're right a horse
which animal swims in the water a pig or
a duck
very good the duck
which animal lives in a barn a cow or a
tiger
a cow nice job wow that was so fun
learning and growing our brains together
